The organization strives to create an exciting environment for members to interact not only with professionals in the field, but also with professors and fellow students. In addition to educational and networking opportunities, a variety of social events are held throughout the year.

The Student Communication Association is a pre-professional organization open to all COMM majors and related disciplines. SCA provides students with an opportunity to learn more about the Communication discipline and various career options. Special guests are invited regularly throughout the semester to provide members with helpful advice for pursuing a career in their respective professions. During these meetings, SCA members often receive information about internship opportunities and available professional positions.
